What is Speech Pathology

Speech & Language Skills
Assessment and treatment of difficulties with speech sounds, expressive and receptive language, social skills and voice.
Fluency: Support for clients who present with stuttering or dysfluencies in their speech. This includes assessment, and information for informed choices about the right treatment and support for our clients fluency needs.
Literacy
Assessment and support for reading, writing and spelling difficulties, using an evidence-based Systematic Synthetic Phonics approach to support literacy development.
Feeding & Mealtime Support
Assessment and treatment of feeding difficulties from infants with breast- or bottle-feeding difficulty, and transition to solid foods; to toddlers and older children with picky eating and mealtime challenges. We can also support children with complex dysphagia and mealtime difficulties.
AAC
Assessment and support with complex communication needs, with Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) systems. We can support our clients and their families, to find the right communication tool that suits their needs and allows them to communicate easily and effectively in their daily activities.
